Daniel J. Cosgrove


Daniel J. Cosgrove, MD, FACS, is a board-certified urologist in Encino, California, and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He has been in practice for nearly two decades. Dr. Cosgrove specializes in the evaluation and management of cancers, diseases, and disorders that affect the genitourinary tract. His clinical interests and experience include male and female urinary health, infertility, incontinence, kidney stones, benign prostatic enlargement, erectile dysfunction, and cancers of the kidney, prostate, testicles, and bladder. Dr. Cosgrove and his staff pride themselves in providing professional, compassionate, patient-centered, state-of-the-art urologic care.

Dr. Cosgrove earned his bachelor’s degree at the University of California, San Diego (UCSD). He completed his medical degree at the Medical College of Pennsylvania and returned to UCSD for his internship in general surgery and residency in urology, where he was named Chief Resident and was awarded the Chairman’s Prize in Urology. After completing residency, he joined his father, Dr. Malcolm D. Cosgrove, MD, in practice in Encino.

He is a member of many professional organizations, locally and nationally, including the American Urologic Association, and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.

In addition to his office practice in Encino, Dr. Cosgrove is a clinical assistant professor in the Department of Urology at the University of Southern California and is a member of the Cedars-Sinai Valley Network of Specialists. He is affiliated with several hospitals in the San Fernando Valley, including Providence-Cedars Sinai Tarzana Medical Center, Northridge Hospital Medical Center, and Encino Hospital Medical Center as well as the Encino Plaza Surgical Center.

Dr. Cosgrove is a native of Los Angeles. He is fluent in English, Spanish, and Hebrew.

Away from his practice, Dr. Cosgrove loves spending time with his wife, Dr. Gaby Cosgrove, DMD, and their two children. Dr. Cosgrove enjoys running, music, and the Dodgers. He coached Little League Baseball and Softball for many years. He plays competitive Fastpitch Softball and won a Gold Medal as a member of the USA Men’s Fastpitch Softball Team at the 2017 International Maccabi Games in Israel.

Malcolm D. Cosgrove


Dr. Cosgrove, a native of Scotland and a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons, is a board certified urologist and Clinical Professor at the University of Southern California. After completing a fellowship at UCLA, he established a urology practice in Encino and was joined by his son Daniel in 2002. Dr. Malcom D. Cosgrove retired from clinical practice in 2022.
